No matter your religion and no matter what drives you to do good, we can all agree that helping the orphan is a good thing. Helping can mean different things. It can mean sponsoring a child. It can mean financially helping a family who is adopting. It can mean going on mission trips to love on children in orphanages. It can mean supporting a family who has just brought home a new child. The list goes on.

We've done most of that. Now bringing children into our family is what is heavy on our hearts. We are stepping out in faith, where many have gone before us. We appreciate you partnering with us on this endeavor and joining the journey. You can find our current fundraisers at the bottom of this page. Please help us spread the word by forwarding this blog to your friends and family. Thank you!!

Please help us raise the needed funds to bring our daughter home!

Both Hands Project

Well, we did it!  We had our Both Hands Project on Saturday.  It was an exhausting, but fulfilling day! Our team was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!  They worked so hard.  We were also blessed with donated supplies from local businesses.  We are still very far from our financial goal, but we are optimistic that the provision will come.  Enjoy the video and if you feel led to donate we would be so grateful!

Can You Help?

So, a few months ago I shared that we were approved for a Both Hands Project to help us fundraise.  It's an awesome opportunity for us to be blessed with the financial means to bring home Isabel, but also to "pay it forward" (so to speak) and bless someone else in the process.  CLICK HERE for more information on what a Both Hands Project is.  There is a 16 minute video that explains it better then I ever could.

The specifics for our project are as follows:  Our project date is July 21st.  We will be working on the home of a wonderful woman, Ms. Penny Harvey.  She lives alone and suffers from a variety of illnesses.  Even with those challenges, she is very active in her church and lends her time to all in need.  We are honored to offer this day to Ms. Harvey as a blessing to her.  I know she is appreciative and feels so loved already.  We need to finalize our volunteer team ASAP.  Please take a few minutes to watch the video and if you feel that you are able to help us, please let me know very soon.  We still need 4 - 5 volunteer families/individuals.  As a volunteer, you would help us work on Ms. Harvey's home and send out sponsor letters to your friends and family.  We will supply the letters, envelopes and stamps! That's it!!  : )

Thank you in advance for your support!

Our Daughter

Our adoption journey has been many years in the making.  All those years of dreaming, praying, enduring disappointments, and waiting has got us here.

Meet Isabel TaiYu...

Isabel is now 11 months old and living with a foster family in Ch*na.  She is fearfully and wonderfully made with some orthopedic special needs and developmental delays.  We hope to travel this November to bring her home.  We love you, Isabel TaiYu, and cannot wait to hold you in our arms!

News

On Wednesday, our adoption agency submitted our Letter of Intent (LOI) to Ch*na to adopt our little girl!  Oh, how I wish I could share her picture, but until we receive our Pre-Approval (PA) we are not allowed to.  We hope to hear back next week and once we do, I will proudly share her picture and story.  There are some amazing connections woven into this story; confirmation that she was always meant for our family.  We love her already!  Stay tuned...

Approved

We found out recently that we were approved through Lifesong for a Both Hands project.  We are SO thrilled to be a part of this program.  This video is an example of what a Both Hands project is.  Tax-deductible giving is already being accepted by Lifesong for our adoption account.  ALL donations go towards our adoption with no administration fees taken out.  See the sidebar for donation information and we'll keep you updated on the date of our project.  Thank you!!
